Dear Chief Mike Chitwood,

RE: Officer Wright’s actions on Thursday December 20^th at Best Buy and Chief Chitwood’s following defense of the situation regarding Elizabeth Beeland.

Tasing a woman with electrical shock “so that she calms down” is not an appropriate action for a Peace Officer (what was once the term before “Police Officer” and still alluded to in your mission statement).

The mission on the Daytona Beach Police Department’s website states: “to achieve a safe, crime free community….we commit ourselves to protecting, defending and serving the residents of and visitors to, the Daytona Beach Community.”

It is not hard for someone to come under control with some calm wording and simple counseling techniques that anyone can employ. For Officer Wright to become engaged in physical confrontation with an customer I conclude that 1) Officer Wright was not trained in de-escalation techniques 2) your philosophy as Chief is that of oppression, akin to a police-state-mentality and not of peace keeping 3) your philosophy must change or you will lose your job as well as those officers who employ your philosophy of brute force.

I have seen the footage from the Best Buy camera and Ms. Beeland is retreating from Officer Wright, and Officer Wright got caught up in a cat and mouse pursuit, instead of trying to resolve the situation with skill. This is in complete violation of your mission statement “we commit ourselves to protecting, defending and serving the residents of and visitors to the Daytona Beach Community.”

Your defense for Officer Wrights actions are understandable from a loyalty perspective, however from an ethical perspective, you let down your community and furthermore loudly expressed your acceptance for a police-state mentality over the community in which you empowered to protect.

If this is indeed your perspective, then I will wager that you and your staff all will be subject to a civil law suit, costing you and your officers’ great dishonor in the eyes of your “served” citizens of Daytona Beach.

If you change positions now, and put an immediate leave of absence upon Officer Wright stating, “after further review of the situation the Officer acted outside of reasonable action of this Police Department”, then you may still save the face of your department, although only a public apology to the community at large and especially Elizabeth Beeland will provide solace to a community that is no doubt much more likely to distrust your service.

Here is hoping you, Chief Mike Chitwood, make the correct action to resolve this horrendous situation.

Petition to Abolish The Federal Reserve Act of 1913

To: U.S. Congress This petition calls for the abolishment, by Congress of The Federal Reserve Act of 1913. To return all the rights and profits, from the creation of money to the rightful heirs, the citizens and the U.S. Government. It is outrageous that private banks and the FED can create our money and collect interest on it. If we must pay interest on monies created and loaned, let it be the United States of America that receives it, not some private interest.

Wexler praised his colleague, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, for pressing forward with the impeachment issue, and for submitting a bill (H Res 799) for the impeachment of Vice President Cheney.

In another example of the effect of people power is that Rep. Anthony Wiener (D-NY), yet another member of the House Judiciary Committee, has signed onto Wexler's call for immediate hearings. Of the four, only Baldwin is a co-signer of Kucinich's impeachment bill. Since she is one of six members of the Judiciary Committee who are co-signers, that makes a total of nine Judiciary Committee members now who are in favor of Cheney impeachment hearings. That leaves 13 Democrats on the Judiciary Committee, including Chairman John Conyers, who have not expressed any support. But of those 13, five–Conyers and Reps. Brad Sherman, Mel Watt, Bobby Scott, and Artur Davis, voted against a Democratic leadership move to table (and thus kill) Kucinich's bill last Nov. 7, thus suggesting that they are in favor of hearings on the measure. If those five sign on to Wexler's call, that would mean a clear majority–13-8–of Democrats on the Judiciary Committee in favor of hearings on Cheney's impeachment.

In another development, Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) added her name to the Kucinich Cheney impeachment bill, bringing the total number of co-sponsors, plus Kucinich himself, to 25–the number who initially signed on to impeachment hearings on Richard Nixon in 1974.

Now is the time to contact your representatives (See Post: First thing you can do).

A New 911 Commission

If you live in New York or know anyone in New York, PLEASE sign this initiative to obtain an honest, independent investigation of 9/11. Here is the process:
Step 1) 30,000 petition signatures of NYC registered voters will need to be collected, then submitted to the Board of Elections.
Step 2) The Board then submits the ballot initiative to NYC City Council. City Council can accept the ballot initiative or reject it. If they reject it, we can return to the people of New York City for an additional 15,000 petition signatures which will then override the Council's decision. Or, better yet, write your council members and stay tuned as to when they will discuss the measure at the public meeting.

WHY: A measure on the ballot allows registered New York City voters to create a New 911 INDEPENDENT Commission chosen by independent researchers, not the government. This is what we need. So please do this if you or someone you know is in NYC. "...The project is going mainstream, professional and international,
now run by the reknowned Dr.  William Pepper. Les Jamieson will
still be in charge of volunteers and collection of signatures; there
are just more people on board as the project morphs.  The ballot
will occur in September of 08 and the investigation will start in
January of 09.

The project has been renamed Justice for 911 Heroes and Victims,
and will focus on the plight of the First Responders, who are suffering
both in health and financially directly because the Administration is
sticking to its impossible theory.

The Commission and methods remain the same.

The new site will be up immediately- though we've been saying that
for weeks. It will probably be at the address support911justice.org.

Becoming a Good American

This is a post about how I "Woke Up"...

On November 25th, 2007 I was resting at home, ill from having strep throat (I have two kids). Since I do not have a tv, I was browsing You Tube videos under the most highly rated videos of all time and I found a clip about the Federal Reserve. This was a 5 part series from a larger movie (http://zeitgeistmovie.com) . I was appalled at what I had learned. After showing this to my wife and a good friend, I was able to have some great discussion with them of things they had heard and knew about. Could it be true?? I started to research some of their social action steps and learned about Ron Paul http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

Mind you, I was a Barack Obama supporter until this moment, or at least this was the beginning of my supportive efforts of Ron Paul and the beginning of the end of my support of Sen. Obama.

On my way to Mexico for a week vacation, I found the book The True Story of the Bilderberg Group, by D. Estulin. What surprised me most about this book was the secretive proceedings of the Bilderbergs. Evil deeds are constructed under veil and in darkness, great deeds are done in the open and sunlight. I began to loose sleep over the ramifications of what I was learning...my world as I knew it-to-be was eroding away.

While in Mexico the NPR democratic, presidential debates were happening (I was still wanting to vote democrat) and I got the idea to ask the candidates about something I had learned in Estulin's book. My question would have been: "In the last 50 years all presidents whether Republican or Democrat had chosen their cabinet members from the Council of Foreign Relations roster(an employment agency as it seems for the White House), and in a time when the public is frustrated about the lack of change from presidency to presidency, how will you differ in your cabinet appointments?"
I never got to ask the question because I discovered that the top runners are or were all members of the CFR themselves!!!

Dear Congressman _________,

I write to you today as a concerned citizen of ___(your state)___, where I feel the time for investigative hearings into Dick Cheney is NOW!

The charges against Vice President Cheney relate to his deceptive actions leading up to the Iraq war (which sadly, has resulted in countless of casualties), the revelation of the identity of a covert agent for political retaliation (which jeopardizes and undermines the security of our nation and CIA), and the illegal wiretapping of American citizens (causing civil unrest concerning the abusive handling of power by the US government).

I am concerned that congress is too comfortable with the idea that the Bush administration will be out of office in a year, and fail to act on issues that are far to important to the American Public. An investigation will put the evidence on the table, and the evidence - not politics - should determine the outcome.

For an Administration that has consistently skirted the constitution and asserted that it is above the law, it is imperative for Congress to make clear that we do not accept this dangerous precedent.
